Doubtful. Much of the set list from the last tour that was filmed for DVD was carried over into this one....unfortunately.

I believe Steve said in one of the recent interviews that they're working on it, acutally...

Yeah, it would be nice, I do think that since this is such an extensive tour after so many years that they eventually will shoot a show or two but it's not by any means confirmed and even if it does happen it will probably take another 2+ years...Jenn Pix wrote:I literally just did a little happy dance, right there!Prezidentman wrote:I believe Steve said in one of the recent interviews that they're working on it, acutally...

Steve: It is already in the works. You have to document these things

Always a thrill and a treat, to be able to revisit something like that. And for the folks who can't get to a show (I've been in that group for so long!) a DVD is a way to enjoy it, anyway.
Oh I know it will take time. These things always do. But I can't help being delighted that we will (at some point) have a DVD of this fantastic show!Prezidentman wrote: it will probably take another 2+ years...

It would not surprise me if they filmed a show or two during the European leg or later during the US tour. Steve mentioned that the band usually needs a few weeks under their belt to really gel. I could see improvement from the time I saw them in Ridgefield, CT to New Brunswick, NJ in just three days. Let's hope this is captured as it is a visual as well as audio treat.

This is great news! Steve's DVDs are some of the few that I dig and actually play.
I'm making the trek out west for 3 nights in a row in Cali (Anahiem, LA and Agoura Hills)...hope he decides to record at one of those.
I've had pretty good luck when it comes to DVD shows. Fortunate enough to be at the first G3 recording in Minneapolis (Eric Johnson) AND the Denver one! Just missed a ZPZ by a show or two. I think they ended up recording in Portland...
In any case I just can't wait to see another live Vai performance!! 9/30 Salina can't come soon enough...

it will be interesting to see another dvd, one where i am actually familiar with steve when it was shot, not a dvd thats 3 years old or even ten years (the astoria) but like someone else said, a lot of the songs that were on the last dvd were on this tour, so it might be a bit of a re cap. i wonder if he will shoot it at minneapolis again

I don't see where a LOT of the songs were on the last DVD.....I see six from the last one and 3 of them are "gimmies" that will be on every Vai release. That leaves 13 new one's that would make a kick-ass DVD....kyle am I wrote: but like someone else said, a lot of the songs that were on the last dvd were on this tour, so it might be a bit of a re cap.
