I'm no official, but I live in Groningen, and I know De Oosterpoort quite well. You can get a good idea of the revenue here: http://www.villapanorama.nl/showcase/pr ... n=klassiek" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The seats are indeed unnumbered. It's a small hall, only 1870 seats. Make sure you are on time. If your there at 19.00 I think you should get a good seat (although maybe not front row).

Well, I've just got my tickets for the 2 shows/concerts :D . Hotel booked.
Hope to meet old and new friends from the board. :wink:
Only thing missing is the tickets for the flights but hopefully that's not a problem.
See you all,
Claus, Denmark

thx,
well only 1870 seats, that means to me that almost everyone should have a good view on stage, but I´ll try to get best ;)

You'r welcome. Every seat has a good view on stage indeed. Only risk is when you sit in the middle part, in front of the stage. When your unlucky, you have a tall person in front of you.

The panorama shot was taken from one of the worst places to sit during a concert, so it gives a quite good idea what to expect.

It's 2.5 hr I'm afraid. You could also check Groningen Airport Eelde. You can fly there from some Europian cities. You can check it here: http://www.groningenairport.nl/index.cfm?language=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Otherwise it will be Amsterdam Schiphol indeed. The train will leave from Schiphol. There's a straight line to Groningen.

For people interested in Paco de Lucia, come 2 days earlier to Groningen. Paco de Lucia will perform in De Oosterpoort on the 20th of October.

How about a wooden board with strings and an element could become an object with an almost mythical status. About pioneer Les Paul and Leo Fender guitar builders and the rivalry between Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker. What is the impact of important thing guitarists like Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Eric Clapton to pop culture and what makes Jimi Hendrix, who first published his guitar and smashed square hit, now so influential.
