Do we have to arrange anything to record these broadcasts? I don't know if this is permitted but I think these files are worth to share with people who weren't there.
AFAIK, the shows will be webcast, so everybody can hear it. Secondly,
it was Steve's intention to release it on CD. How accurate those plans are today, I can't tell...Recording it and distributing it will surely be illigal.

Having said that, I surely will recording it for myself, completely.

Sorry for the silly question but how do you record a stream? Not very good on the old computer i'm afraid! I was lucky enough to be at this amazing show and just gotta have a copy. Thanks.

Ok Jeroenn, I understand. I don't have any intentions to do anything illegal but then I would ask the same question pauldlr asked: I don't know how to record the streams either.

There are a variety of ways to record streamed radio. You will need special software. Some of it is free and the more sophisticated will, of course, cost :). This topic was recently covered in the English Daily Telegraph, they suggested http://www.highcriteria.com/, it costs $11.95 and sounds quite simple to use. They also suggested http://www.freecorder.com/ and http://www.silent-bob.de/en/index.htm. You can also do a google search using the keywords - record internet radio. Just have a look and see what suits. I haven't tried any of them yet, but intend to have something installed and working by Sept 8 :).

I did a testrecording with Total Recorder which works marvelously, the only problem is the fact it buffers every now and then even on the lower (32kb) format which should be no problem for my connection :(

I'm gonna record it the old fashioned way: straight from the radio. I'll record it on my dcc recorder (philips digital compact cassette, an obsolete kind of dat) that has 90 min. tapes. Afterwards, I'll stream pieces (the individual songs) to my pc, edit a little fade-in, fade-out and that'll do....will still buy the cd, of course, if and when that is released.......

Have now bought High Criteria. Did a successful recording lasting 1 hour 20 minutes. Haven't worked out how to split it into 'tracks' yet, but I'm sure I'll find a way!

I don't think that option is available to us in the UK, it would certainly be a lot simpler!

Quite agree :D

P&W, I think Franks meant Jeroenn's remark "Recording it and distributing it will surely be illigal."........ I'm not sure about that, I guess that recording a radio broadcast for own use is completely legal. I guess that I'm not allowed to say this (mods?) but I wouldn't mind sharing with you guys at all!
