Yeah, those bent harmonics are so easy!
Ekim wrote:The circle (and theory in general) gives me a headache. I just don't get what the heck it's used for.

I should just stick to my drums instead of sucking really bad on guitar and bass.

Can't I just do like that one Metallica album, stay in the key of E all day and just pump the open E string all day long?
Question wasn`t :"What`s the easiest song in the world?", it was:"Which are easiest Vai`s songs?"...
I was just being silly.

I doubt 0.1% of all guitarists can bend harmonics like that.

Certainly one of the hardest Vai song to play. Don't be fooled by the pace of the song. No wonder he never played it live (or did he?)

"Call It Sleep"!

It's so easy, very easy... (I just singing on a Guns Roses song now...)

No thats a hard one, the first Vai song I learned was:
"Burnin' Down the Mountain"

I love acoustic guitar music, I believe this song shows some of the
"Jimmy Page / Zeppelin" side of Vai.

Yes, "Boy-Girl Song" is another great song possible to play.
Also "Viv Woman" is not that impossible, but the solo at the end is not so easy.

Mr. Vai! Please write a really easy song for us to learn! :)

Die to Live is 'easy' (what a term to use for Vai's music).

Wow havent been on the Vai forums in ages.
But anyway I'd say you need the naked tracks! Then it doesnt matter how easy or hard the song is, learn the easy parts and play those, then just overdub the tricky solos with simpler stuff that you can play!
I think that Fire Garden Suite isnt too tough of a song to play, until of course you get to Taurus Bulba, then you'd better hold on to your pants!
It all depends on how much work you're willing to put into it, nothing is easy really...
I've probably put in about 40+ hours working on Fire Garden Suite alone and I still don't even know it all, let alone play it with any decency.

If you want something easy, try Air Guitar Hell lol!

I couldn't disagree more...knowing the notes under your fingers is fairly accessible(not for beginners though)..making it sound as good as he does is another story.

But then once in a while comes a gifted 14 year old german girl who nails it almost perfectly.

:)
