Steve's Shirt on Dimarzio Website

#1 Post by markwphillips » Wed Oct 10, 2007 6:34 pm

Does anyone know what brand of shirt Steve is wearing on the dimarzio homepage? Where can that shirt be purchased?
Thanks

I asked him about his shirts when I saw him, and he told me that he simply goes into a fabric store, picks out one he likes, and gets them to make a dress shirt out of it for him! That's why his clothes are so unique ;)

Maybe, These shirts could be avaliable at the vai.com store,
It would be great to buy these custom-made shirts. they're awesome!

Yeah... it's an idea, but I think Steve needs to keep his shirts... and keep 'em his own unique thing you know?

Thats very true LOL
But I'm not talking about steve's own clothes. I'm talking about some custom shirts designed exclusively for Steve’s web store, but, of course, with the same cool look of steve's shirts. And THAT would be awesome. :P

A Vai line of clothing would be cool, just look at the P.Diddy line of clothing.... highly sought after (in some circles).

maybe he could bring something new to clothes , like he does to music. he's an artistic man.... if its good.... its good. i wouldnt think its naff until i saw what was produced.... if it was bad.. then i would say so.

LOL

I just think the idea is a bit naff.......

Lets be honest, most normal people would look very dodgy in a vai type shirt....

maybe Prince would buy them and be accepted...

that would be quite ironic........

Creating a custom clothe (as a shirt for example) is a bit more complex than going into a store and getting one.

The tailor you want to make the clothe you choose has to take ALL the right measures of your body (that's why a custom made clothe fit so well).

For example on a shirt He has to measure your arm in standing position and when it is bent (I don't if this is the right word... ), the "radius" of your wrist, the lenght of your forearm of your chest (and its circumference too)...

Naturally your tailor will take this measure one time (and after some years again to check them) and not everytime, but this is take a bit to be done ('cause it can't be made the wrong way or your clothes will look horrible on you! :D )

I know this 'cause all my shirts and suits are tailor made, so it cannot be a simple processe to make this items available through the web (unless you know all the measures a talior needs to make an actual clothe!); and also think about differences between the measures of lenght systems in Europe, Britain and US... this can drive anyone crazy
