I'm telling ya', Carlos Santana!!!! Why hasn't anyone else thought of him.
He has a cool band, some great instrumental-type pieces (before he sold out and became mainstream  ), and how cool are his latin rhythms!!!???
My vote is for Carlos Santana!!!!!!

In Tokyo last year, there was a happening where Nuno Bettencourt, Paul Gilbert, John Paul Jones and Steve Hackett joined forces and gave two concerts under the title "Guitar Wars"....

I've got that on dvd, and it's really amazing/amusing....:-)

I would shake butts for both Nuno and Paul... They're soulmates!!!

I'm sure, that Jeff Beck would be the best person to join G3, and here is why:

- I didn't had a chance to see him live (and i know a lot of people, that would go to g3 just to see him)
- He's a walking legend of guitar
- I believe that he's not turing enough
- I cannot think of more amazing music experience than seing (and listenig to :) ) Jeff Beck and Steve Vai on the same stage.
- I'm sure that SV and JS would love to tour with Jeff Beck.

It would be cool if G3 came to Australia and Tommy Emmanuel was the 3rd G. Although I agree with everyone who says Nuno or PG

No Paul Gilbert please, he is BORING.

What about invite STEVE MORSE or JOHN PETRUCCI again?

AL DI MEOLA would be cool too!!! Surely some acoustic music would bring a new vibe to the G3 shows. :-)

I think Vinnie Moore or Paul Gilbert would be great choices. Especially Vinnie.
