Introducing The Ibanez Jem 20th Anniversary
Steve Vai and Ibanez proudly present the 20th Anniversary Jem - celebrating 20 years of groundbreaking and innovation together.

The new Jem features a clear acrylic body with threads of color that pass through the guitar body. When the tone knob is pulled up, the guitar glows green (this effect can be seen on the Vai.com Homepage). The tuner heads are also made of material to match the body.

Steve will be writing a piece about the guitar and we'll be posting that shortly, along with complete guitar specifications.

Ibanez is also releasing a second new Jem - in black! We'll be posting images of that soon.

Looks totally mad. But in a good way. That should look great on stage...! But I bet it's quite weighty being acrylic....

Looking forward to seeing the black one...!

Yeah, for sure!
But probably, most of us won't get the chance to buy something like that, probably Ibanez will make it more expensive than the DNA guitar. Maybe not... Who Knows..

Wowza!!! A truly awesome creation! I wonder if the pictured model will be limited ed. , I hope not because it will take me a while to save up to buy one (just bought a Jem7vWH last year). Looking forward also to seeing the black model, but the multi-colored glowing one is perfect IMO.

I just double checked the listing...it will be a limited ed. quitar http://www.ibanez.com/eg/featured/jem20th.aspx I also just checked with my local dealer...he is going to the NAMM show. He mentioned he will most likely have an idea of a price after the show.
