As a famous Italian Moscato advertising (with G. Clooney) said:

No Vai, no party
(Yup, it originally was "No Martini, no party" but... :D )

J/K

Anyway I'd love to see Mattias IA Eklundh or Satch's friend Stef Burns (which is a FN artist too, hey check out His last release with Peppino D'Agostino  )

Resha :P

That is very true. I saw him when he open for Joe. He is truly remarkable. Well now that I've nit picked a bit. Here is who I think would make a good G3(if Vai can't be there)
Joe Satriani
Paul Gilbert
Allan Holdsworth

Andy Timmons has a high chance of being on the G3 tour. He just released a new record.

I would like to see a different kind of G3 if Vai wasnt involved , maybe some different influences like Gamblae or Holdsworth , to keep Satriani on his toes . Like maybe Satch , Gambale/Holdsworth , and your choice of shred mainac like Rusty/MAB/Petrucci/Gilbert/Malmsteen . I would love to see how that works out on a live appearance . If they could wprk put some kind of balance for the combined performances it would be rather interesting/potentially dangerous for public opinion.

P.s9 if it isnt already obvious im half pissed so i hope this makes some sense .

I don't think that MAB would work well on a G3. I just can't picture him getting in a jam with Satch.

ha...what about Holdsworth, Thordendal, and Buckethead just for kicks. Haha, that'd be the most intense jam.
But in all seriousness if Vai couldn't attend I'd most likely choose:
- satch
- holdsworth
- john mclaughlin
whoa.

 I go to His gigs everytime I can!

And being Stef the first guitar of an italian famous rock singer called Vasco Rossi (I think since 1996 at least), He has a quite big fanbase here in Italy :P

In the last 2/3 years I've seen 4/5 gigs (2 with the amazing Peppino D'agostino) plus the "millions" with Vasco Rossi!

I gotta say He is a very down to earth person -exactly as Steve is- and everytime He plays in small venues (clubs with 200-300 seats) He does a little improvised meet and greet where everyone can ask Him questions, take pics, get an autograph...

I can see why He's a FN artist (along with Peppino naturally); not only for His musical ability/tastes but also for the kinda person He is.

Ultra cool :!: 8)

Resha :D
