Vai art

#1 Post by atomiq » Tue May 06, 2003 4:19 pm

Hello,

These are pictures from the Steve Vai drawing that i would like to share with you all. The drawing was made with coal sticks and wooden crayons, by a 18year old friend of mine, a very talented artist. I sent the pictures to the webmasters 2-3 months ago, twice, but they never showed up in Mailbag, along with my comments. Oh well...

Oh..Hi Steve :D

Hello,

I did get your pictures (twice). ;)

We've not updated the mailbag lately and that's why they're not there!

But there's more mailbag coming soon... coming soon.... :)

Well...it costs me just a friendship...and few rounds of "Skopsko" (Macedonian Beer) :)
BTW The size is 1meter x 75cm and it looks MUCH better & brighter on my wall then in the .jpgs. I didnt have the time to set up the digital camera so the images are a little blurry and the colour effect is kinda lost. Anyway i am proud to own it 8)

I thought it was an actual "picture". That looks incredible. It is hard to believe that the drawing was made with coal sticks and wooden crayons. This is the kind of thing that should be made into a lithograph and have 100 signed by Vai, himself, and then sold for charity. I would love a copy.

I'd pretty much go anywhere (only in Europe:) to get this signed by Steve. Btw the guy that made the drawing was thrilled when he i told him that his work got so much positive feedback from the SV community.

P&W - The lil' Epson is with currently with my father, having a boring bussiness trip in Budapest :) When it comes back, ill make a wallpaper
