Poor Eddie ....he didnt take care of himself very well and its painfully obvious that he has seen some rough waters so to speak ....I was in 8th grade when I heard he had cancer and I freaked out because he was an inspiration (one of many ) for me to pick up the guitar and start learning it ....

The thing about performance photos of Steve is that he's so animated that you can always get a good shot of him-he must be a music photographers dream! But then, when he's in the studio he also has a knack of knowing just how he should pose and hold himself for an interesting photo. I have a copy of Larry Dimarzio's 'Guitar Wizards' photograph book of most notable modern guitarists in which he says similarly. In the section that covers Steve, Dimarzio says that he found that Steve knew exactly which pose to strike for a dramatic shot. Too much time in front of the mirror as a teenager I think, eh Steve? :wink:
