its the guitar from when Steve played Fire Strings. Its in the photo gallery in teh sights and sounds part of vai.com.

The knobs are supposed to be like, sustainer on/off and feedback, midi, etc.

There is an actual thread that talks about that guitar. I dont know where it is but its somewhere.

It's obvious the cat plays the biggest role in how it sounds.

well, not a JEMs, but its roughly what I envision my dream guitars to be

natural finish
Image
ash body, gold hardware, recessed floyd, Dimarzio pickups, side mounted jack like on a JEM

or slightly fancier with a koa top and burst around the edges
Image

and a more conventional Strat for the Stratty stuff
Image
alder body, blue sparkle finish, wilkinson trem, Bareknuckle Irish Tour pickups (and I'm aware that I botched up the pickup placement just a bit) + Graphtech Ghost piezo saddles

and some more Strats, but these are just messing around with the program
