XAVIA is just a modified JEM7V - scalloped fretboard, sustainer, backstop, and some addons by Thomas.

But the story about Evo and her pickups is still wrapped in a misty fog.

Haha, ok then. I don't know what to reply!

And to keep this on-topic, we know that there are two other JEM70V guitars.
First one is LACS, it's a prototype, has a sustainer built in, 3pc LACS neck, headstock without premium label. Used on G3 Australia, NZ tour. Now cliplocks have been removed, different sustainer - Sustainiac.

There is another one which was used for the JEM70V presentation video. Production model, could be the one that Jeroen photographed but was later modified.

Jeroen please correct me if I am wrong or if anything does not match the real specs.

maybe Steve just took the fernandes unit out of the first LACS prototype and switched in the sustainiac device with a diff strap. They have the same positions (the two switches, the extra knob) maybe the guitar just changed systems.

Edit: Although why would he? He IS Steve vai you know ;) why not have a two of the same guitar... But different

I think they are plastic ;)

But when you mean the pots, I think they are same as production, with the exception of the push/pull one.
Not sure which one that is though. I'm not really planning on taking it apart just to check what kind of pots there are in there.

Regarding the other Seafoam: It's only one. It had a Fernandes, now it has a sustainiac.

The backstop in this particular jem is custom made by Ibanez, although they look very similar to the original, it's machined, rather than die-cast.
I'll see if I can take a few pictures of it tomorrow.

The white sustainers are actually getting produced a bit again, I see them every now and then, and in fact, there are a bunch of new Fernandes guitars on Ebay right now that have them.

does it make a difference if its die-cast or machined? I mean, it's probably machined because its easier and die cast ones are probably only cost effective when they're being mass manufactured and sold..

Jeries, Can you get just the driver in white or does one need to buy the whole kit to get one in white? Please PM me the cost when you get a chance.

Thanks
