Steve was the feature article Vintage Guitar Magazine October 2012 issue. There was a photo of him with an Ibanez RG Guitar with "BO" label where "EVO" would have been. Anyone know/seen this guitar before? Can't find it on the internet anywhere. Thanks.

ive never seen a bo rg, maybe you saw the bo jem. It has a sustainer and lights in it. If it is bo the jem (I've never heard of Bo rg before, maybe it's a backup) then you can see it when he plays building the church. If you just look up Steve vai building the church 2007 you'll see the mirror guitar he uses is BO.

its a BAD HORSIE Jem

Mirror top jem

think it has BREED pickups in it but i'm not sure

always plays building the church with it

it's a prototype not a production release bad horsie

meaning the finish has some issues and gets worse after time (supposedly they perfected it for the released ones but i've seen it on all mirror tops)

it looks blue/black-ish depending on the light but its mirror top

it has dot (LED) inlays
and a sustainer system

Thanks for the replies. I can see the resemblance. The guitar in the magazine must have been the prototype or an off track 3rd or 4th generation. Thanks again.
