Nahh Steve wouldn't change his pickups for the world! Check the Evo minisite, he had the entire crew digging in the trashcan for that neck pickup one time...

Either the pickup was restored/painted/modified or it's been through so much hell that it's unusable.

Stuff wears out man. They are most likely Evo's. but maybe not. You use what you use. Even Mr. Vai. Evo, the guitar, has been through how much????

I don't know what the situation du-jour is, but Evo had a new bridge pickup (with the newer large dimarzio logo) back in 2005 - although that one had black pole pieces.

Nope. As far as I know, Flo has an EVO 2 with black pole pieces (which used to be a Paf Pro with gold pole pieces before 2005)
