I'm told by DiMarzio that it's just beginning to hit stores now.

Yes, here in Italy it's been available since 03/03, when the new pricelist for DiMarzio was published. The distributor here is the same for Ibanez. I don't think there is a higher end cable in their whole line - I think (given the specs and price range) those cables must be the highest quality ever.
Who knows, I haven't even tried them yet but maybe if you get one it will last for the rest of your life. :)

it better last your lifetime if its anywhere near the price of the yngwie cable. which it probably will be?
but a high quality cable like this is mostly for professional use i would imagine.

PATCH CABLES

• Gold-plated plugs with patent-pending compression springs ensure positive connection into standard 1/4" (6.35mm) jacks.
• Special double-insulated/double-shielded cable design
provides cleanest signal available while eliminating hum andtriboelectric noise.
• Exclusive Planet Waves overmolded connectors provide extra protection with unmatched strain relief.

Don't repare something that's not broke!!!!

You might want to consider buying it online, since things have a way of always hitting the shelves late here.. :?

Why are the cables only available in 10ft and 18ft lengths ? Some of the places I play at have pretty big stages + I like to move around so I need at least a 30 footer :)

Btw, what happened to his signature Horizon cable that was out a few years ago ?

I think any longer that 20ft or so and the loss of tone is very noticable-you might as well use any old cable! I'm pleased Dimarzio are making shorter ones as I always tyr and keep my signal path as short as possible!
