Jemini pedal

#1 Post by Juice777 » Tue Feb 06, 2007 5:21 am

I read in an interview with Steve recently that he's developing a peal with Ibanez. Any news?

It's a distortion/overdrive pedal isn't it?

It's got nothing to do with any fx. It's simply a dual channel distortion pedal. Dual channel being two differently voiced distortion types.

I'm expecting it to be more of an overdrive+distortion, like the Visualsound Jekyll and Hyde http://www.visualsound.net/Pedal_jh.htm
since those are the 2 pedals (tubescreamer and boss ds1) he's had on pedalboard in the past

If it will really combine a DS-1 and a tubescreamer... well I'm getting it for sure.

*drool*

But maybe I will save my TS808 for some particular occasions!

Oooh. That sounds nice. I'm glad Steve's finally designing a distortion pedal, maybe I wont have to have 20 pedals in my chain just to get good tone after all! I hope it's coming out soon.

^ But that's not where Steve gets his Distortion/tone. (Just like you won't get it out of a DS1 or TS) He uses his DS1 or TS to suppliment the drive of his Legacy, not provide all the distortion/tone.

I didn't say I wanted Steve's tone, I just want the pedal for the versatility it (hopefully) will have to offer. If it happens to be a worthwhile pedal, it'll save me the trouble of a lengthy effects chain of modded overdrives and distortion boxes (although I can't guarantee that wont happen at some point, heh). All I'm saying is, I can't wait for this thing to come out, we all know that anything Steve endorses has gotta be quality.
