i HATE crapwoo.. err, i mean rosewood..

looks like crap and feels sticky to me. tonal responce isnt bad at all, i just dont like the looks and feel of it.

maple is my favourite, followed closely by ebony

thats more than half the reason why Steve Vai fans play Ibanez. Not that hard of a truth to understand, I'm sure we'd all love to own at least an above average, entry Ibanez.

for instance you can buy a new jcm2000 tsl for 2,000 basically . as in.. 2k? who in their right mind would pay that much money for such a crappy amp? i hope this was a typo. cos dude.. for 2k you can get a splawn, which stomps over any marshall that was done after a jcm800.. a moded jcm800 that is....

you need to mask the fretboard numbnuts. and the pickups also. there is a reason you do it with steel wool.. the primary reason is NOT to make them sniny, but to make them smooth. it will take out small gouges. shitwood.. erm, i mean rosewood needs constant attention. moreso than ebony and even more...

I like DXMG .. but i guess this is a dumb question ... are the pick-ups on DXMG active ? and are those 81 -- 85 ? the X series doesnt have actives, however, the rest of the MG series has active EMG's stock and dont say a word about the DKMG. if it had an ebony fingerboard, i'd own one in every colo...

Yeah i still think they guitar kinda deserves a Reverse Headstock ... Here in the UK the Jackson DK2 is the best value for money gitar on the market. £330 gets you a Japanese made guitar with real SD pickups (more for the maple fingerboard version) which is £200 less than the RG1570 and you only get V7/V8 in the Ibanez and a proprietary trem. the wizard profile however is a C.. the wizardII is a D profile, which has a flat back, make it seem thinner than the wizard. it also feels like a block of wood and not a guitar neck.
