Re: Tremol-no

i've tuned to drop-d, eb and drop-c before and it sounds fine without adjusting intonation. As far as what I said about other wild tunings, it was merely to point out that I should be able to do all this and more without the trem dropping back into the trem cavity. At the very least, that is what it...

Re: Tremol-no

um......so you're saying with 4 springs you can tune down to eb with just the fine tuners (as opposed to using 3 springs)? Using 4 springs may relax each individual spring more but the same force is still being applied, cept it's spread across 4 springs instead of 3. The purpose for making adjustmen...

Tremol-no

I just wanted to post my experience and thoughts on this product for anyone else here interested in buying it. Unfortunately I was really disappointed in this. I bought the clamp type like their site suggested for my guitar (Jem 7vwh) and followed the steps very precisely. My guitar had a couple of ...

Re: Looking for an old starfield amp I once owned

if you really must have it again I'd suggest researching what the components were, and attempt to build yourself a replica. I could imagine any second hand ones would have a high chance of needing repairs anyway.

Re: Amp Modelling Programs

and anyway noone can afford a tenth of all the gear simulated, so to the Naysayers out there, bear that in mind. yeh, it allows regular home users to experiment with sounds they usually wouldn't be able to afford if they tried to collect all the equipment themselves and for home recording it cuts d...

Re: Guitar Rig anyone?

While we're on the subject i came across something called an IR or impulse response on a guitar rig forum and I couldn't figure out how to use it. Does anyone know anything about it? How do I use them?

Re: Guitar Rig anyone?

any soundcard that supports ASIO 2.0, Direct Sound or MME. On board sound will not work because you'll get a delayed response. That's about it, if your computer is capable of running the soundcard then it'll handle guitar rig.

Re: Is there a soul inside musical instruments?

"Spiritual people" live in their spiritual world and don´t listen to scientific and proven research. It may be too much for some people to learn or whatever. you have to admire spiritual beliefs somewhat though, my mind in particular just will not accept it as truth but I get extremely jealous of h...

Re: Is there a soul inside musical instruments?

Erm, I think some people are over-analyzing this a little too much. oh so you'd rather 'everyone just states yes or no or everyone just uses a standard stock of responses like i think they do because each instrument sounds slightly different' than having a proper interesting discussion that gets pe...

can you really PROOVE???? that there isn't some entity from another dimension inside the molecular energy that the instrument is made of,.. driving your mental pathways to where they have gone in your written music,....???? why does it need to be from another dimension though when we still don't kn...

Re: Is there a soul inside musical instruments?

i'm gonna step into fairy land for a minute, in the concept of 'soul' haven't we established that when a living organism dies the soul leaves the body and moves on? Well by the time wood is made into a guitar the wood is well and truly dead, so why would the soul stick around just because it gets ma...

kinda sad though when guys like vai and satch die they'll be lucky to even get mentioned in that fast scrawling text at the bottom of the screen you see on the news. when that day comes i don't give a fuck about the cops, i'm running an extension cord outside, turning the jsx up max and blasting out...

Re: Computer Questions

I recently reloaded windows and cut out most of the unnecessary programs. I know that windows has a lot of programs running in the background, where can I go to find out which ones I can turn off. assuming you're using Windows XP (if not try and get rid of vista if you can and bam there's a massive...
