$400 wont buy you much. IMO, your wasting your money. Learn some PATIENCE. . .save up more, and you can get a great tube amp. If you blow your $400 now on some crate, your screwed. The max you could get for that amp if you wanted to turn around and sell it (and you WILL . . .want to turn around and ...

If its an RG120, it doesn't have a Wizard. It has a Wizard II.

Both are very flat, and very thin. The Wizard is just a bit thinner by 2mm.

Wizard II

They only put Wizards on the higher end RGs, like from the RG5xx's up.

A combo will be easier for transport, definately. It wont push quite as much air as a stack, naturally, but it will be about as loud directly in front of the speaker. All in all, it wont be that much louder than the 2x12 combo. It will have twice as many speakers running, which will give the sound m...

That should be EASY to find. Ibanez SA series? Thats what I had in mind. They have a really simple one that has a natural Mahogany body, simple tremolo, H-S-S (you could get a DiMarzio Chopper or something for the neck) and its around $250. Or, the 470 series, which have the Zero Resistance tremolo...

The tank is bolted to the side of the wooden box, right?

What if you were to put some felt or rubber washers in between the tank and the box, to help isolate the vibrations from the tank?

Just an idea.

It was RECORDED with the Green Meanie.

The Red guitar in the film was a prop, and doesn't belong to Steve. (I dont know if it ever did or what)

It was Red San Dimas Charvel. DAMN good guitars.

Yeah, you know the saying, "You gotta do what you gotta do" ? Well, I usually say "You gotta USE what you gotta USE. (to get the result you want)" Some tools simply work better than others. I dont think they'res anything wrong with having a Signature guitar or Signature pedal or signature anything, ...

It SHOULDN'T be that bad, but I'm honestly relating my true impressions of the amp. It really was pretty lousy. I dont have a thing for bashing Ibanez, I have 3 Ibanez guitars. . . but. . .wow. . .its a sorry excuse for an amp. And JRA is right, I played it on the matching cab, which does have Vinta...

Yup, thats where I bought my soldering irons. :) I do reccommend you research soldering and guitar electronics, they're actually very simple and easy to understand electronics. I might just have the switch replaced this time, just so you can play your guitar right away, but still. . get some books l...

yeah, the VERY first Jems were made in 1987. . .and those were the JEM777LNG (Loch Ness Green - only 777 made. . each signed personally by Steve) the JEM777DY (Desert Yellow) and JEM777SK (Shocking Pink). All had basswood bodies, and maple/maple necks and fretboards, Edge Tremolos, and DiMarzio PAF ...

Evo was made in 1993. Production of the JEM7VWH started in 1993.

Although, it may have been in development in 1992.

Its original neck was snapped in like 1998 I think, so its current neck is from around then.

It was one of 4 prototypes though, but they were all JEM7VWH's.

The Cheapo switch is dying.

I got the same problem in three of my RGs.

Just take it to a local shop and toss down a couple bucks to have them replace it.
