There's this dude named Steve Vai. . .he has a few Legacys sitting around, and some pretty decent clips if I remember correctly. See what you can find on this guy. In almost every song Vai uses a different sound and line up.... I mean much effects and stuff... And when he's using his "VAI Sound" I ...

Its a personal decision Logic. I wasn't suggesting that nobody should ever use effects or should be anti-pedal in any way, people can do whatever they want. Do what you feel like you gotta do. My amp doesn't have any effects, not even reverb, just one channel of natural tube overdrive. If I need cle...

I might look into the EH or Sovtek preamp tubes. I'd rather adapt to what I have than get a distortion pedal, though. I'm a firm believer that if you have a good guitar and a good amp, you should be able to get a great sound without any effects and whatnot. I agree with that. I recently tossed all ...

Get some new PREAMP tubes for a brighter tone. JJ's are known for being smooth, which in some amps is a good thing, but in already-smooth amps it can take the edge off. (like in the case with the Legacy) Get some Electro Harmonix 12AX7's for the Preamp. They're very good, and have a beautiful breaku...

Avoid at all costs.

The only Marshall you would ever want has to be tube.

The Fenders are great, but they're geared for a clean tone. They either only have a clean tone, or a slighly greasy one. They're probably not gonna do the Heavy Metal thing very well without some assistance from pedals. If you were playing blues, funk, and jazz mostly (where you would need a good cl...

I don't think Steve will ever get away from the "His guitars and amps are all custom made for him. You won't get the same thing when you buy it!". (See Ed Roman's lovely site for perfect examples....) Now, personally, I don't give a rats buttocks what Steve has or hasn't done to his equipment. He h...

I wouldn't touch any of those, personally. Off that list, I'd probably choose the Peavey. Whats your budget? 1. Mesa F-30 - To my ears, sounds like crap. I hate EL84 powered amps. Fuzzy and chunky (not the good kind, the nasty dry kind). F-50's are kinda cool, however. 2. B-52 AT100 - Gritty, nasty ...

I called bullshit simply because they'res no need.

Carvin Legacy's are fine amps on their own, they need no modifications to sound great.

Eh, Bullshit.

Thats real nice Bancika but they'res not a single EL84 in the Legacys. EL34's and 12AX7s. Yes, he uses the stock EH tubes. They're good tubes. All-in-all, tubes dont make that much of a difference. You hear alot of talk about them, but they're are alot more aspects of a guitar rig that make alot big...

Why didn't you simply by a new-old-stock Lo-Pro Edge from www.ibanezrules.come before bastardizing your FP with a tremolo that doesn't fit?

Its got a piezo pickup in the bridge saddles.

Piezos give an acousticy sound, so you can send the piezo signal to an acoustic amp, and the electric signal to a normal electric guitar amp.
