right now my fav solo is joe satriani until we say goodbye. (the one on the album..he always improvises over this live..which is sad, cos the album version is simply breathtaking). I donno why, but this solo just hits me, and gives me goosebumps and all of that. It just flows so nicely, and has some...

hey man, and thanks ! I made the drums from samples found on the net. Most are from the drumkit from hell sample cd. I put them together in Sonar3, and also used this sample pad thingy called DR008. Even though the samples are quite good, I find drums to require LOTS and lots of tweaking. Making dru...

hey, I just recorded a demo(www.emotionlessmusic.tk), where all was done in Cool Edit Pro 2.1
I'm quite happy with the result, and will probably never switch to another multitrack recording program for some time..

Hey Mikey. I've sugested this in another post, but it seems to belong here. Wouldn't it be great to have bootlegs of every show steve does, downloadable as mp3s on vai.com ? Metallica have something like this, and charge 10$ per show or something. You can hear its not a hi quality live recording, bu...

Okey I'd lik to answer all the questions with what I personally think: 1. High energy songs or ballads?--> Mostly high energy! The energy is important when creating a show, so I'd say about 70% energy songs, and 30% ballads. 2.More or less vocal songs?--> Most people are into Steve Vai, because of h...

The venue was oslo Konserthus. We all got numbered seats, the sound was loud, but good (though I didnt listen without my ear...

the boy from seattle...what guitar?

Anyone know what guitar Steve used to record 'the boy from seattle' ? On the 'Alien love secrets' DVD he uses his jem (I think), but thats just playback. I think I heard somewhere that he actually used a Strat ?? Anyone know this for sure?
