Re: Ibanez Backstops

The first time that I saw a backstop on evo was in may 93 , in Cannes for a masterclass. At the beginning it seems that the backstop was set on "buffer in tune", this is only my thought (so maybe I'm wrong) and this is why : From what I have seen on the sex & religion tour , the fire garden tour , S...

Re: What Jem7v is better ?

only the JEM7PBK and the JEM777VDY have the wizard neck

The neck profile of the JEM7DBK is a bit thinner (front to back) than the traditional JEM neck as requested by Steve Vai. It is described as unique to the JEM but "kind of a Wizard neck at the nut but not at the 12th fret".

Re: Questions for G System Users?

hope that help ...
I play long enough with the one of my friend to say :

if you use it in the effect loop only , the "tone suck" is the same as the gforce.
But if you use all the loops and the "pre" section + the loop = even with the goods
tc 's converters you definitely hear a big loss of tone.

Re: Masterclass DVD

I do not think that there will be. I think that the most important part for Steve in AGS is .... what Paul Gilbert says ... "interaction baby" I think Ags is first the "meeting" ( lack of words here) betwenn Steve and the participants. and I am sure that there will be another AGS Tour in the future....

Re: backstop or not ?

many thanks for the advices ;-) like I said in a post above , I was too much obessed. actually the difference is 5,6 cents on the G strings and 3,4,5 cents on the other , after a complete dive with the strings float on the neck then check 0 cents on the tuner and a full pull up on the bar ,up to 3,5...
