I take pride in the fact I cannot spell their names  Besides, 'am I bovvered?' I like it! It's interesting that you used that phrase because when I'm looking at new venues to play now it's common practice to ask other bands on the circuit whether the place is a 'Chav' or 'Muso' venue  Tony

I had a big argument with an ebay dimarzio seller because he didn't believe me when I said that the strap he'd sold me was longer than my other straps. I need the short straps and I had to cut mine and sew it up.

There are definitely different size dimarzio straps!

Having played loads of musical styles for years in bands I learnt a long time ago that the stuff that the general public want to hear is pop! The most repetitive pop song in my current bands set is Coldplays Clocks (because it is supposed to resemble the ticking of a clock presumably!?) and the audi...

Stick it off axis about 45 degrees and about 2.5 inches from the edge of the speaker and it should sound OK.

I have it and the highlight of the DVD for me is John Mayer.

I also like the way Steve left the mistakes in on his performance too, it makes it real to my ears. T-Mac looks like he's really enjoying it too.

It's definitely one to own in my opinion.

Saw them in Brighton the other day and it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen. If you get the chance check 'em out, they're completely mad and amazing players.

I was at a PG clinic and some guy asked what he uses for his sound. He went on to talk about Laney (he was demonstrating about four of their amps) and the guy asked what pedals he had on the floor in front of him. He said 'Oh just a bunch of stuff I use for boosts and delay'. Seeing as he was there ...

Here's what Guthrie says about Vai in an interview at alloutguitar.com "In technique terms I could go on for days about players we both know, but the one who really made a difference and had a massive impact on me was Steve Vai – he wasn’t just displaying outrageous rock technique but utilising it w...

I spoke to Joe's manager, Mick Brigden on the last Satriani tour about the G3 line ups. He said they're always looking at who to have on. He didn't mention any names but said that some of the guys they had thought of asking wouldn't see themselves as being the type of player to do a G3 tour even tho...

I'd mail him if I were you and ask when it's due out to you. The UK postal system changed on the 21st and that may have delayed things a bit. The marketing and organisation for the CDs release could have been a bit better in my opinion. At the end of the day you only get one chance at a release of a...

OK I've listened a few times now and the tracks I'm instantly into are 'Fives' and 'Waves'. The others are all good but they don't hit me in the way those two do. I'm not into the 'Chicken Pickin' track much although It's obviously difficult to play. I'm always amazed when I hear any good bluegrass ...

As far as my situation, at the end of the day, after paying the band , the studio, the commissions, the agents, the expenses, and hardest yet, the taxes, I would be lucky if I could buy my own private island in the Caribbean. Save your pennies and picks. S Steve actually has to pay people to play w...

Yep! I tend to agree with you... I can hear all sorts of influences throughout but what makes it sound like GG himself I suppose, is the way he makes them all fit smoothly into his little musical space each time. What I found really strange is the way 'Hangover' actually ‘feels’ like a hangover when...
