I have the head and the combo and the downsides for me are: 1. The combo is bloody heavy. 2. The Legacy only has two channels. I ended up buying another Legacy to use with an AB footswitch in order to have Legacy clean, crunch and lead. 3. Stock valves with my head became microphonic within a few mo...

I think the bashing comes as people retialate to being told they're missing something because they don't listen to certain players. I don't think I'm missing anything just because I don't listen other peoples choice of players. I'll have a listen, but if I don't hear anything that interests me I don...

Make sure you put some RI merchandise up.

I bought a couple of T-shirts on the tour but my son has nicked 'em both.

I was at an Evo in the UK and held the guitar. I didn't think the action was really low at all in fact I'd say the action on my own guitar is lower. I did notice that the trem was angled forward slightly instead of at the zero floating point. The trem bar only just cleared the 5 way in the single co...

Thanks for the tip Bill. I bought one of the t-shirts and it's great. When I put it on I found it had a small hole in it. I mailed them back to say I'd received it and liked it but just told them it had a hole in it in case they had a faulty batch and sent a load out with holes in. I wasn't actually...

I don’t think anyone here is saying that a player has to behave like Steve Vai to be the next big thing. I personally think there is more to a being ‘great guitarist’ than just having the ability to play ‘great guitar’. It’s down to personal taste at the end of the day and what one person likes anot...

I think Steve was more concerned about us saying something and ruining it for other Evo participants that hadn't been to the shows yet. Now that the tour is over maybe Steve won't mind us sharing it but I'm not going to be the one to do it. I also think that expectations are getting way too big now,...

i´m agree with Ant711UK, there is a lot of really good guitar players, but the conection with the orion it´s very important, the best point of Steve is that he has both: the ability and some kind of studies in act or changing faces, because the faces and the movements he does with the guitar are so...

I don't think there is a single person with the right amount of talent, dedication and business sense out there at the moment, that is able to become the next Steve Vai right now. The reason Steve Vai is as 'big' as he is, is because he had something extra special when it meant something to be able ...

I have one and it's pretty good. Nice for blues/rock really. The lead channel sounds great loud but doesn't quite have what I'm looking for in a solo sound. Both lead and rhythm channels work off the same volume so you have to balance your sound evenly between the two. It's pretty loud too. I paid £...

Go for an older RG550 with an AANJ and an edge or lo pro edge and just swap the pick-ups out for Evo's, forget the 555 the trems are awful.
