Re: Chapman Stick

For me the best chapman stick player by far is the amazing Trey Gunn

Go check his music out is a strange mix of some Pink Floyd and King Crimson with traditional sounding drums on it...

Great overall vibe

It is a unique way of making music

You could try the Fender Super Champ XD I have this amp myself and I found it very versatile... It is loud enough for small gigs but also small enough to crank it up big time for studio use... Jeff Beck uses it http://cachepe.samedaymusic.com/media/quality,85/brand,sameday/superchampxd-part066-02232...

:? If that would be the only thing what makes his tone then it shouldn't matter if he used single coils or humbuckers

That is probably why SRV got that excellent overdriven tone from humbuckers

Oh no not another poll about who is the greatest of two guitar players... I like the poll option on this message board but c'mon... HOW THE HELL CAN PEOPLE COME UP WITH SUCH COMPARISONS?!?!? It is like: Which is better single coil or humbucker?: both of them have there own style and feeling and perf...

I got exactly the same problem myself... On stage I go wild and I play great but in the studio it is like I don't know where I'm going with my hands... the result is take after take an after 200 takes I finally feel satisfied... That's the life of a musician it is about 50% creativity but after that...

I'd like to refer to all the other thoughts I gave in earlier topics... As someone said here before: I prefer quality over quantity... tough I must admit... I'm getting horribly impatient at times listening to his older stuff for the 2 * 10 ^ 10 time... (that's a lot) and I'm feeling like "AAARGH I ...

So it was exactly wat I needed: -It contains good Fender Rhodes sounds -It is light weighted and quite small (for live gigs: great!) -It was quite cheap -It could be used as a midi keyboard + the string sounds are great as well (and it's got this amazingly old school floppy drive in it  (neve...
