Re: Orange Tiny Terror

Same tutor as above-I found it was muddy sounding (I think that's the British voicing that people talk about isn't it?) and our tutor tried to compensate for it which made it fizzy sounding. I'd avoid it. Now that is more a matter of personal taste... I really like the sound of these orange amps Th...

Re: SATRIANI SUES COLDPLAY

I think some of you guys underestimate the writing of music. Ideas, themes, ballads, hooks, dynamics, timing, structures, expression, flow, concepts, emotion, + loads more. To say that the last album lacked some of these things seems very far fetched to me. No I do not... I am a writer myself and w...

Re: Are the Beatles overrated ?

Perhaps only time will tell. In 200 years time will people still be listening to the Beatles, the Stones, Hendrix or Steve Vai...?[/color] Hendrix, and especially The Stones and The Beatles will do fine I guess... mr. Vai? Don't know... Altough he has a lot of fans, the music isn't really populair ...

Re: Are the Beatles overrated ?

I guess since many hold the Beatles as the most influential music group of the 20th century, sure, it's possible to say they are "overrated." But that's only because the superlatives that get heaped upon the Beatles are almost as endless as their contributions to pop music will always be timeless. ...

Re: Anbody tried the new hagstrom model? Think I want one

These guitars seem to be getting great reviews and look sweet. The reason I looked into them again is because I own a 1968 Hagstrom III that I loved the neck on and heard they were back in business. So now I'm considering the Swede or Ultra Swede. This Ultra Swede color especially caught my eyes. h...

Re: SATRIANI SUES COLDPLAY

Just about everyone agrees with it: Satriani seems to be out of ideas lately. The biggest disappointment came from the song "I just wanna rock". I was like  and even more  when he came up with that song. That thing , that freakinly lame and uninspired song should be #1 on the list of m...

Re: Are the Beatles overrated ?

I used the words "pretty much". I didn't say they invented it on their own. I said they pretty much invented it. Like Eddie invented two handed tapping? Could it be that the Beatles brought pop music to the masses whereas it had previously been the domain of the youngsters. It Could be my Dutch ori...

They were popular because they pretty much invented the pop music... Now I don't have a midi keyboard , so when im playing software instruments or VST ( EZ) I have a limited range with my computer keyboard. When running Ez Drummer I can set off a lot of drum sound...
