Re: Paul

You're right. I have NEVER listened (I have heard him play, but just couldn't bring myself to actually buy anything and LISTEN to it)Yngwie, and for one reason. It's the same crap over and over again. The only feel if ANY, ONLY comes from the style of music he plays. Classical music and scales/mode...

I am not trying to be negative here but... Why is it that every time someone asks for tips about playing fast or guitarists who play fast, another person always says "it is not about speed it is about soul or feeling". What if we "feel" like playing fast? Get power tab if you don't have it al...

i'd like to note, that its not even like he plays the same 'kind of' thing. I have looked at alot of tabs and the denver dvd and literally plays this one run down 50 bazillion times every song. He is a travestry to shred who should think about what image hes putting out for the rest of the genre. H...

Does this happen when you do this on different strings? different frets?

Is there any other unwanted noise from your guitar? Buzzing, or dead notes? Your setup could be bad. You may need to file your fret down. Who knows?

Most guitarists have their own style of soloing.

Van Halen didn't really do anything different from solo to solo.
Ace Frehley sounds the same solo to solo.
Clapton is the same thing over and over.
Page too.
I could go on.......but why?

bad or sloppy guitarist listen to two songs. The Seventh Sign. Which is from the cd of the same name. Finale. Which is on the Concerto cd. The arpeggios he plays in the interlude for The Seventh Sign and the intro to Finale are the hardest pieces of music I have ever heard. And Yngwie can pull them ...

Vai songs in the real world

Has anyone heard Vai songs somewhere other than radio?

For example.

I hear Sisters on PBS all the time.

Fox tv uses Blowfish when giving the scores on a local highlight show.

Just curious how far Vai reaches.

Yes it is possible. Music theory is a guideline, not a set of limitations.

Let your ears be the judge. Not your mind.

Vito Bratta....very smooth player. I love the sound of the Steinberger guitars.

It is a shame he gave up the guitar.
