Re: Manchester UK 2012 - - - NEW PHOTOS ADDED
Thanks for sharing, Paul. You always catch great moments really well, even better than a lot of professionals that I've seen so far. I suspect that it's because you're a true fan and you care.

Re: Steve's first ever guitar ??
Actually, Steve's very first one was a Teisco Del Rey. Then he had a couple other guitars that people gave him, like the white double-neck Ventura SG (from Joe Satriani, if I'm not mistaken). But yes, the first guitar that his family bought him was a Fender Stratocaster, aka the "Sticker Strat", whi...

Re: hey! my first cover! please watch...
Very well done!
Especially since you played the song on a 7-string when you don't really need it.
Out of curiosity, how did you learn it? How long did it take you?
I guess the next stage would be to fine tune your performance to the point where you don't even need to look at the guitar!

Re: 3 October 2013 - Padova, Italy - Story of Light Tour
:: Part 3 of 3 :: I came back from Nonantola, arrived in Padova (where I live) and found that it was really cold here. Funny how the weather can change from town to town. Today Jeremy had to spend some time at the dentist and we were told that he may not have been able to be at soundcheck. Luckily e...

Re: 2 October 2013 - Nonatola, Italy - Story of Light Tour
:: Part 2 of 3 :: Coming from Florence, today the weather was, again, warm and sunny. The venue for this show was smaller than the one in Florence, it's like a disco with a few couches here and there. But the majority of the people was standing. The sound was really good, probably the best among the...

Re: 1 October 2013 - Firenze, Italy - Story of Light Tour
:: Part 1 of 3 :: It was a hot and sunny day in Florence, I enjoyed that. At the show, there weren't as many people in the audience as I had seen at last year's shows. But the audience was good, very energetic, and it was a standing general admission show, which I really prefer over numbered seats. ...

Re: Story of Light Tour continues!
That's right, and besides his very young age, what's also interesting is how his audition happened and went like.

Thanks for sharing, Jeroen!
Steve used that guitar quite a bit last month, especially at the masterclasses.

Re: 21 June 2013 - Prato - Alien Guitar Secrets
I had been to the Alien Guitar Secrets masterclass in Turin/Torino, but really had to come back for one more, because honestly... it was so good. Steve's classes are almost like his live shows: at the end of it you just feel good. The venue for this one was probably the oddest ever: it was like a ta...

Re: 19 June 2013 - Turin - Alien Guitar Secrets
Having been to an Alien Guitar Secrets masterclass before, you would think you knew what to expect. Wrong. If you can believe it, this was even better than the classes with Steve that I attended in the past. Basically, Steve starts out telling a couple of things about his career, then alternates bet...

Re: 16 June 2013 - Rome - Steve Vai and the E.T.O
This one was the best show among the three. It was an outdoor, general admission concert. Villa Ada is a big park with lots of trees and also a little lake, very nice. Some people took the liberty of sitting on the ground in front of the stage, filling the space between the seats and the stage. But ...

Re: 15 June 2013 - Ravenna - Steve Vai and the E.T.O
This one was an overall much better show than the one in Trieste (previous night). Especially with regard to the sound - almost all of the problems on the previous night were absent this time. One big difference was the audience, I think. The age range was leaning a little towards the elderly. My th...

Re: 14 June 2013 - Trieste - Steve Vai and the E.T.O
I enjoyed this show very much. Despite a bunch of technical problems (mostly having to do with the mixer at the side of the stage, like the sitar and acoustic guitar being too low at first or stage monitors humming), for me this was a great show. It's hard for me to be too critical about these thin...
