12/24! Of course! Lord, I've been wondering about that for so long... Deep breathing is an excellent way to start FTLOG. Breathing into your center allows you to focus your thoughts, clear your mind, and still your body. It's pretty impressive the other things he did before he cut that track, too......

Man, how can all these people not like "Whookam"? It's so unspeakably cool! Notice, if you will, how at first it is chaotic, raving, but then all the voices align themselves in heavenly harmony, afterwards neatly synthesizing the raw aggression with melodic restraint. This song is like...a... warrio...

Coolness. I think we may consider all phrases translated nicely. "La ballerina se chiama bella rusa": "The ballerina is a beautiful rose" (The Italian isn't quite perfect, but this was the intended phrase). "De antwoorden zijn altijd al aanwezig": "The answers are always already present". "Lengua, m...

You know, I'm quite curious as to that myself. It would be cool if Steve had recordings from REALLY early on in his life (16-17) so we could listen and judge for ourselves. If you read his journals he writes about an early song list... they're respectable songs so he couldn't have sucked outright. P...

Oh wait, isn't there a song that already has that title?

The pictures of the Mothership are sooo cool. It makes me want to spend my life's savings, stay in one of the rooms, and just record as much random guitar gibberish in the studio as I can. I'd be flat-out broke, but I would have a demo recorded at the Mothership!

"Blood and Glory" sounds like what you would play to fire up the troops, and "Liberty" is what you play after you have won the day!

Good for you... as Vai has said, the most important thing about being a musician is having a good ear. It's one thing to create your own tonal world, but responding to someone else's is something else entirely.

God, I love "Feelin' Bad Blues". Every time I hear it I can feel every free-floating sadness I have just get named within me. The title seems childish, but really, it's perfect. Sometimes you simply feel bad, and that's all there is to it.

How wonderfully helpful.

Why not try the Allman Bros. "Statesboro Blues", SRV's "Gimme Back My Wig", or George Thorogood's "Who Do You Love"?

So glad someone has heard of "March"... "Queen II" is a highly under-rated album. I think Queen had to make their music less complex on successive albums just so the public could understand it! (I love "Nevermore" and "Father to Son"...) Man, have you tried playing that Kool-Aid song with "Juice" go...

Actually, there's quite a bit of stuff going on in the intro... Steve has his signal going to an Eventide(?) processor set to go "ya ya ya", he's wiggling his whammy bar, and yes, he does use a pitch shifter in it too. I think he might be using a wah pedal as well. My vote for favorite Whammy song g...
