Even if he did have a chemical-related experience when he was younger, I'm SURE he wouldn't glorify it... I think Steve's head trips are all self-induced. His anti-drug stance is well known (bravo, Steve). So it looks like the "Blue Powder" mystery goes on... Maybe Steve was thinking of Kool-Aid... ...

Re: The Next Tour - You Tell Us...

You know what I think would be totally cool? Have a Steve Vai tour where he ONLY plays the songs he has rarely/ever performed. You would really break some attendance records on that one, I think... From Flex-Able: "Call it Sleep", "Salamanders in the Sun" Leftovers: "#?@! Yourself" (this one would t...

I think the only drugs Steve uses are manufactured naturally in his brain... and if it were drugs, wouldn't it be "White Powder"? :)

"Blue Powder"

I've been seriously digging this song lately, and I was idly wondering where the title came from. The only thing remotely close to this I can think of is the phrase "blue powder monkeys" from "The March of the Black Queen", which is on Queen's second album. (Didn't Steve say he was a big Queen fan?)...

By "heavy", I mean emotionally weighty. The industrial sounds, screams of pain, and crucifixion evocation could be termed "heavy". Bad Horsie is more of a "Yee-haw!" kind of heavy.

Yes, it was. This was both my intention and purport. But so far everyone seems to understand, thus proving my theory that there are no morons to be found here. Well done, everyone.

Re: Hey steeda!

PS Actually in the acoustic part where Yngwie play, his speedpicking is VERY bad.He have NO coordination between right and left hand, and everybody with just a little training under their belt can HEAR this. Try again sweetie...  Sorry, I am not gay, so cut the "sweetie" comments. Don't h...

I can only speak for myself, but I'm practically pounding my laptop anticipating what you guys are getting ready to unleash... It's like a rest in a raging classical or metal tune, it really gets you keyed up. I can totally understand there's a lot behind the scenes... Take as much time as you need ...

Last night my martial arts instructor said "I've never heard of ANYONE fending off an attacker in a dark alley by dropping to the ground and doing push-ups". And then we proceeded to do push-ups. It's kind of the same principle.

Thoughts on drummers: Bozzio: I would quite like to see this guy again. He wasn't done true justice on the S & R album, although the end of "Still My Bleeding Heart" gave us a hint... Personally, I think he has "feel" a-plenty (in fact, he might be one of the best drummers ever). And has anyone seen...
