A Revival of Shred?

I don't just think that shred is gonna come back here in the UK, but also in the rest of the world. Give it a couple more years, and it'll be like the 80's never went away! 8)

Best tone?

Slash- his lead tone is the smoothest!
Dave Gilmour- classy and stylish without being over-produced.
Satch- they don't call him the Master of Tone for nothing.
Brian May- homemade!
Steve- perfection.

slash

His playin is really great, and although he may not be the most technically proficient guitarist ever, he's one of the best. Also, those bluesy licks are just pant-wettingly tasty! Style and tone are gorgeous. Plus, he is a great live performer, he keeps it real and is totally self-effacing.

YNGWIE IS COOL!!!

I think that the kicks, Whirlygigs etc. are an integral part of the Yng's stage show. Not only is it exciting to watch, but it brings the fun back into music which all these nu-metal bands try so hard to purge from their stage shows. Not only is YJM one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time, h...

Ist it compulsory to have a Jem to play? I can't afford one, but I am very eager to play and meet other like-minded guitarists, and I do own 2 Ibanez guitars.

A Revival of Shred?

I am in a band with 4 other kids around my age (15 and 16) and moth myself and the 2nd guitarist are widely regarded around our area as virtuosos, and this is reflected in the songs I/we write, yet we still get huge audiences at our gigs at pubs/clubs. We have had major interest from well-known reco...

Steve and The Darkness?

Do you mean the "Still of the Night" Video? I seem to remember seeing something akin to the trick you mention on that particular video some time ago on MTV 80's requests.

I'm not mad about Alien Water Kis from P&W, but I can see the artistry in it.

What guitars does everyone have?

Ibanez GRX170, Ibanez AM-73, Epiphone Les Paul Limited Edition Green Standard. All beauties, but don't even begin to compare to a Jem7VWH.....drool........

A question for UK-based people here

I've just got an Ibanez Jem7VWH inc. case for £1449 at Big Rock/ Woods in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. That's the cheapest I've ever seen.
