I realise how long Lotus Feet would take due to its sheer size, but I think Firewall is a more manageable project, especially if you compare it in size to the Fire Garden Suite, of which there is a fantastic transcription on Powertab.

Vai transcriptions

Anyone done any transcriptions except the ones on Power Tab Archive? Specifically, I'm looking for Incantation, Firewall (with original instrumentation), Freak Show Excess and Lotus Feet (also with original instrumentation).

Without meaning to sound like an twat, I've been playing 3.5 yrs and could shred him into the ground BUT who gives a fuck? Speed doesn't get you a job nowadays, neither does having girl-hair or tight pants. If he took some time to develop his own style, he'll be a damn good player. Until then, he's ...

It's probably either a Boss DS-1 or an Ibanez Tubescreamer (TS-9?) that he uses as a boost for solos. If you watch the Astoria DVD, you'll see him do it frequently.

I was listening to P&W again last night, and the thickness yet clarity of the tones on that album consistently impress me. Am I right in thinking that most of the songs on there were recorded using either UVs or JEMs with PAF Pros? In which case, this proves you don't need to use high-output pups to...

Used to be 9hrs including theory, but since that's now sorted, 4-7/8 hrs a day, 10 on weekends. I'm lucky in that I'm an extremely fast learner and don't need much sleep or rest, so can practice at an accelerated rate to most people.

Buy a Rocktron Hush pedal or a Boss CS-3. Can't go wrong there.

Whats your opinion on Legacy's?

I just got my Legacy (went for the half-stack) and I wanted to try them out, but looked on the Carvin site and can't find them! If that page no longer exists, does anyone know where a similar page does? Peace and ...
