Not to bust on Mikey, but I would like to see a lot of the stickies in the All About Steve section that are no longer relevant cleaned out. We don't need to wade through the old EVO Experience links and such. This board would look a lot less cluttered and more inviting. And let's not encourage peop...

(Linus And Lucy is a different tune off Charlie Brown Christmas. Stu Hamm does a bass solo that involves an interesting cross between Linus and Lucy and The Beatles :p)

Gary Hoey also covers "Linus and Lucy" quite nicely.

GW: "Tales from the Black Forest," a guitar/piano duet on Al DiMeola's Land Of the Midnight Sun album, is reminiscent of the section of the "Fire Garden Suite" you just described. VAI: That tune was actually the inspiration for the piano/guitar thing. I wish I could have gotten [RTF keyboardist] Ch...

This piece reminds me of mid '70s Chick Corea / Al DiMeola. Elegant Gypsy or Casino time frame. Has Steve ever publicly mentioned this as an inspiration?

Correct. But that one will feature Ray White on lead vocals and guitar and will not include Vai, Bozzio, or Napi

You beat me to it. I just ordered it as well as it wasn't available two weeks ago when I saw ZPZ again in Wallingford, CT. I urge any fan of Steve's or FZ to order this and enjoy. The DVD also includes great performances from Napolean Murphy Brock and the one and only Terry Bozzio! Steve is captured...

I think it is just another direction that Steve took as an artist. I can't remember what interview it was from but I do remember him saying that the S&R project was more a band effort and when you're in a band effort you make consessions and compromises. So you might not have gotten what was expect...

I'd like Steve to do an homage to '70s fusion and write and record with drummer Simon Phillips. Stu on bass and Derek Sherinian on keys

I agree, but not in the context Steve put it in. Good call on Chuck Berry above.
