The Jems seem fine as they are. Having said that I would never spend money on one of them being a diehard Carvin and Jackson fan, the idea of a bolt on guitar in my collection is not too appealing. I do however understand that necks and headstocks snap from time to time and Steve having bolt guitars...

as an answer to mod777, btw, does anybody know when new GNR's album "Chinese Democracy" is supposed to be released, and did anyone go to the last GNR tour? I actually got two live recordings from their american tour, one in Cleveand and i cant remember the other. Axl's singing recording is a bit **...

You want to see Bucketehad's face? http://www.metal-sludge.com/ExposedGNR.htm
Just scroll down a bit, and that stretch he's doing in the pic is insane.

I totally agree with you man, being a minority and a guitar player myself I've gotten weird looks going into guitar stores and weird reactions from store attendants when I ask for a cable (as if a dark skinned guy can't play). Oh yes, and Greg How's so great it's sick! Parallax is a devastaing album.

From the very few pictures I've seen it's nothing like an RG. The pic in the new Guitar One Magazine shows just enough to let you know it's got a 3+3 headstock, 22 frets and 2 humbuckers.

Doesnt sound like Marty right, 2 pickups, only 22 frets?

Ark is awsome! Both their albums rock like nothing else, Jorn is such a killer vocalist every line he sings has a brilliance very few have. I know Jorn left Ark but I don't think they broke up, last I heard they were plannign on going back into the studio. BTW, if you love Jorn Lande's vocals you sh...

I love Phil's playing, I think his work with Vai and Ring Of Fire is some of the most amazing bass work out there. Sure he's not Sheehan but he's a monster all his own, heavy as all hell and can groove even in power-metal.

Tony Macalpine appreciation thread.

I just thought that my favorite guitarist Tony Macalpine deserves a little bit of recognition. He's one of the most criminally underrated "shredders" and the fact is he can play circles around most of the better recognized names. You have not lived till you've seen Tony play guitar legato while play...

John's great, I love how tastefull he is. His harmonics kill Zakk's and he doesnt overuse them!

Love you too Zakk!

No, he played on the last tour and on the new record. In fact the whole lineup from the last tour is back except for Derek.
