My record is $450. That would be my new Ibanez RG. I don't know why I haven't played anything better. Also, come to think of it, my RG was somewhat depreciated when I got it, so it's more like $350. Before that, the most expensive one I played was $150.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this. Ibanez guitars feel small to me. I'm not sure whether I like that or not. I remember Yngwie talking about how he hates small headstocks with locking nuts because they severely limit the resonance and the sound. I also remember Billy Sheehan commenting on how he lik...

pretty good response for esp and ibanez wizards i see.. for the esps, are all the necks comfortable for you guys? i'll try the esps. problem with my local shop is that they don't let people try the more expensive guitars ie jems..so trying is pretty outta the question. wizards&esps vs jem necks? Yo...

The best feeling neck to me is my Jackson JS30DKT. I believe Jackson makes the best necks. Mine is the closest you can get to being flat. It's exceedingly fast. My friend who has an Ibanez prestige preferred the neck of mine to his. It was also remarkably smooth and felt almost like an extension of ...

those stock pickups in them are made my dimarzio I don't think so, those are ibanez INF pickups. if you're satisfied with sound keep them...you'll know the best when it's time to swap for something better. All INF Pickups are made by Dimarzio. If you look at an S2170, which has INF pickups, they're...

That would explain a lot. They have great clarity, but a nice crunchy growl when plied with distortion.

Mr. Azrael Nice guitar, Those pickups aren't bad. you could do much worse with an "out of the box" Ibanez. Play it.. If your not cutting through the mix well enough, swap'em with some DiMarzio's.. Once again, Very nice.. Thanks, got it today and it plays quite well. The string tension is excellent ...

Bought a RG4EXQM1, any tips?

http://www.music123.com/Ibanez-RG4EXQM1-Quilted-Maple-Top-Electric-Guitar-519785-i1168031.Music123 This is my first Ibanez. It's also my first guitar with a locking nut/trem system. I think it's gone out of production, as I can't find it on the new Ibanez website. I'm curious as to the first things ...

it was definately a red jackson and im 100% sure they didnt paint it green. I think it's a San Dimas body with a Jackson neck. I've been a hardcore Jackson fan for a while. The body is a little round for a Dinky, and the Soloist was exclusively a neck-through or set-neck model. So that's my story. ...

Yeah, my next guitar needs a trem system. I'm sick of having to retune every time I pick it up.

You could ask Line6 about it if all else fails. They've always shown the utmost courtesy and patience when I've dealt with them.

It's also important to understand that obscurity doesn't denote talent either. Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason (one of my favorite cds) was RIAA 4x Platinum, BPI Gold, and CRIA 3x Platinum. Sometimes good music is enjoyed by the masses.
