After reading several pages of messages, I just want to say a few things. Sure, I might NOT be a real Page's fan, but please don't forget players like him, Hendrix and Clapton etc all started out in the early 60's. Just think about it and tell me who the hell played the way they did at that time? Th...

Hey, Nick, so does it mean both Joe and Steve would come play in both China and Hong Kong more often down the road? Also, what about Dream Theater? It seems like they only play in Japan and Korea. Ok, they played in Taiwan once, but that is about as far south their so-called Asian tours have brought...

Voltage issue

Hey drum, if you ever get a chance to travel to Hong Kong, check out the electric stores there. Chances are, you will find those 110v - 220/240V transformers very easily. Depends on what kind of transformer you are getting, some of them are very cheap!!! And I mean cheap as in maybe a couple US doll...

Everyone posts pretty good reviews on both the dvd and the cd, and what I want to say has been mentioned by some already; so I am going to make my review really short! Or at least I will try! The dvd is pretty awesome! The overall production surely beats the first G3 dvd/ video. However, I'd love to...

Paul Gilbert would be good and Nuno. How about Andy Martin? Can anyone suggest a great album of Nuno's and Gilberts for me to purchase. Hey Guyzif Here are a few cds I think you should check out, if you have never listened to any of Nuno's or Paul's music. Again, this is just my opinion, but I am a...

Hey, right on, Zebula77. For some reasons, alot of Steve's fans (at least those I know) don't like Sex & Religion at all. I think that is a great rock/ metal album. Well, it is not in typical Steve's style, but I think that album was ahead of its time when it came out in 1993. Then again, we are sup...

The first disc of Vai's Anthology is great, and I like pretty much all the selection there. But, IF it is up to me, I would have change a few selections on the second disc. For example, personally speaking, I perfer "Fever Dream" over "Jibboom". And I would have dropped either "The Reaper" or "Burni...

Mr. Yellowsnow, everyone is entitled to his/ her opinion; so I respect what you have to yep about, though I don't agree with you. However, you are right, Steve shouldn't put "Mr.Vai" on the back of his dvd. He should have addressed himself as Dr.Vai, buddy! Also, have you even met Dr.Vai in person b...

Nuno is a very good call! In fact, I actually emailed Joe Satriani's webmaster like 2 years ago and suggested Nuno to be on the next G3! No joke! Don't know if you got my message or even read it thought... However, to make a G3 tour to become really legendary, I think the guitarist I want to see mos...

Whispering A Prayer

Steve has composed several really moving, touching songs. But, there is only one song that really moved me when I listened to it the first time, and it is "Whispering A Prayer". I first heard this song when I attended the G3 2001 tour in Phoenix. Although the album "Alive In An Ultra World" was rele...

I got Steve's new dvd, and overall it is pretty good. There are just two small things that bug me a little, ok, three... first of all, there is this "famous" pause due to layer change right at around 1 hour 1 minute and 1 second into the disc, or during the beginning of Deep Down Into The Pain. The ...

The release date of the first G3 dvd

I am pretty sure the correct release date for the first G3 date was May of 2000. I got the VHS tape when it came out in 1997, then I bought the dvd copy when it finally came out in May of 2000. My only complain about the dvd is that, there is no extras or any of the behind the scene stuff... :(
