Yup, me too! :D http://www.vai.com/realillusions/03glorious.html fretless guitar + effects (I'm assuming some kind of whack filter/wahwah)...

My favorite poetry teacher once said "Children say the darndest things." I think that was an astute observation. I had a Jazz teacher once say that EVH's Eruption sounded like a bunch of "Goobly Gooses." I know he was playing on the words of an other term as well though. I think what he was also sa...

I always felt the songwriting direction (and also the funky bass playing, to a certain extent) made this album feel more dated than it actually is. I think it sounds more like an '80s record! That said, it does have some killer tunes, like Touching Tongues and Down Deep Into The Pain. I always think...

Re: 1-hour guitar workout

Hi! It would be awesome to get the 30-hour guitar workout. I have a question: what would Steve's 1-hour guitar workout consist of (the rest of you are of course welcome to answer!)? Some of us are in a position due to jobs, family and things where that's all the time we have available for guitar, d...

Hmm.......could I add "All About Eve", "Misfits" and "Building The Church" please? Also, I would hold "Selfless Love" as one of Steve's most poignant tracks! Good points made regarding P&W album, it does really define Steve's sound. I like to think "Damn Good" is classic Steve too.

My two kids (5 and 8 years old) had exactly the same reaction :)
They often ask me to play "the pussycat song" (meaning Glorious).
