I'm fortunate enough to own a DSL, and yes it is a very good amp. However I do consider the JVM to be in another league. The sheer diversity that the JVM offers arguably knocks the DSL into fits.

However, the price tag on the JVM hurts a little more than the DSL :)

Re: Hm...

Yes, GREAT !!!! G3 was very high level on its dvd, but I saw them (Satch and Vai) on stage in Budapest. They were here without Johnson. (never mind, I think). The guest was Robert Fripp. Useless thing, They would have choosen one of hungarian guitarists or someone else. OK I don't want to decrial t...

London Guitar Show 2008

Greetings all, Just got in from the guitar show at the Excel. What a blast! I'll share some photos of the performances on the live stage I took when I can upload them. Anyone else attend? How did you find the experience? I think the performance that blew me away by a long shot was Govan's set and ja...

Whilst there's nothing wrong with bobbing your head while your playing (Yep, guilty :P ), Malmsteen's entrance to the concert is farcicle. I think he does it to most gig's he plays

I think Steve just says "Hang on, Yngwie's gotta tune" or something like that

Applying CAGED to scales

I recently took an assesment at the university I want to go to and found what I need to work on in order to pass the audition next year. One of the gaps in my knowledge was the CAGED system; I've read up on it and understand how you apply it to chords. However I'm unclear as to how you apply it to s...

As far as i'm aware, Steve's only releasing one DVD off this tour, and that's from the gig in Minneapolis last September.

I agree.. RI is by far my favourite album by Steve, and I am disapointed in a way that he isn't working on it as a priority. That said, everything else that he's promised us does sound brilliant, so like you say Lydian7, perfection comes at a price.

String muting

I was wondering if anyone knew what players like Greg Howe and Govan use to mute their strings. It looks to me like a hair band or something, but i'm guessing it's a little more technical :P Anyone have any ideas?

Backing Tracks

I'm not sure if this is legit of not, appologies if it isn't.

Has anyone got the backing tracks to Satch Boogie and Always With Me, Always With You? I've got this audition/ assesment thing coming up and could really use them.

Thanks
