That whole fiasco with tabs and the MPA was just natures way of telling me that I need to ear-train. lol Still sucks though. Tabs are tabs. I've never felt like I was stealing listening to midi versions of songs. Pretty soon every time you play a copyrighted riff on your guitar a lawyer will jump th...

Yeah, I hear that. I know I'm a loyal fan. Steve could release a CD of him just talking about playing his music, and I would buy it. lol

Killswitch are some great song writers. They get the heavy/melodic ratio just right in my opinion. I prefer them over just about all types of traditional metal.

I'm not knocking Petrucci or anything, but his forums are just slam-full of haters and music snobs. People will post awesome videos of playing and others will...

Whammy bar problems

Ok, I got a Jackson with one of the Floyd Rose trems. It takes that whammy bar that screws in with the little screw down thing. Problem is, no matter how tight you tighten the screw down piece, moving the bar will loosen it. Then, the bars all floppin around. I know this is a common problem with thi...

One solution to your problem would be just to defect to the right-handed world. I'm left-handed and I've been playing right-handed guitar for like 5 years. I'm glad I have too, because I've been to all kinds of music stores and I've seen maybe like 3 left-handed guitars. Point is if leftys are at su...

I think anyone whos ever seen the Rush in Rio DVD would agree with me that Neil Peart is the man. So I would say Peart. However, Portnoy is my favorite. There were a few drummers I was surprised that were not mentioned. Thinking of some heavier music, I like Raymond Herrera from Fear Factory. Jason ...
