I think it's a great rock album although i'm not sure Vai fitted the Whitesnake mould as well as other guitarists. It's interesting hearing Reb Beach play some of Steve's parts on the new live DVD/CD Cheers Graeme I've been meaning to get the DVD as they are playing in Portsmouth sometime this summ...

Wow thanks for sharing the Jazz Chords link munchocruncho, I've been looking for something like this. I've just started to listening to Django (mainly from my love of the Johnny Depp film Chocolat)...! It's been a refreshing break from rock...!!

Cheers

Just did a quick conversion and the Jem works out roughly at just over £2000 which is a little bit more to what us Brits would have to pay. I think over here it's about £1800.

I found that playing while not being plugged in has really helped with picking cleanly coz having no distortion or reverd etc just means it's me and the wire and wood. I found that it has also given me the ability to find my 'voice' as it's all coming from my hands and heart. You'll quickly hear any...

But I do remeber an interview where Coverdale said he wasn't too pleased with all the widdly guitar thrown between versus and so on. I can see his point. Steve does a lot of 'playing' on this record!!! Why is it people from the UK are so in love with the term widdly? Anyway, I've only ever read goo...

guys your comments are awesome. Yeh the reverb is a bit too much i agree. But dont You reckon im getting quite a heavy sound from just a legacy, ds1 and jem. Sorry it was just improvisation for both clips. I always tend to play fast rather than with feel. altho it is possible to do both, thats why ...

Without any doubt u have a great technique! If you play songs and solos also with taste you are a grat musician too! Just a thing, but it's a matter of taste... too much reverb imho! It tends to hide the fluidity of the notes. I'd agree maybe a tad too much reverb, but why not move away abit and fi...

For me it has to be the following: Liberty (The first solo recording I heard of Steve's when P+W came out after being introduced to his playing from listening to the 2 DLR CD's) All About Eve (Great vocals and I just love the intro piece with the volume swell/delay etc) Whispering a Prayer (First he...

Sure. But on the other hand P&W is probably the album of Steve that is the most suitable for a multi-channel mix, don't you think ? That's a great point. It does have so much to offer for a multi-channel experience, and what an experience that would be! I agree, although hearing new material is alw...

Passion and Warfare.....

Morning. Sorry if this has already been bought up (did a search and couldn't find anything), but I was listening to P+W the other night and realised that it's only 4 short years away from it's 20th anniversary. Wouldn't it be great for a 20th anniversary version maybe in 5.1 dts or similar. Queen ha...

I believe he now works in a guitar shop in the UK. Guitarist magazine did a series of 'where are they now' articles and he was one of them.

Good evening by the way....!
