I agree that practice is the key although don't forget phrasing. Maybe it's me but I don't really find that Steve replies on speed to much. Sure he can do it and you know that every now and again he will blow everyone a new backside with a fast run, but for me what separated him from every guitarist...

Hey Calos Thanks for the reply dude. Yeah I know what you mean. I'm definately a blues person at heart and feel great playing it. I got into the whole metal thing ages ago and got fairly technical but there was always something holding me back. My wife always finds it funny how I can start out pract...

Self Belief.....

Just a wonder really. Would love it if Steve found the time to answer (I appreciate you are one busy man..!), but anyone else feel free to reply as well. Here we go... I'm 33, been playing guitar since I was about 14. I started out as a Blues/Rock style player (love Sambora, Page, Gary Moore etc) bu...

Some of the stuff I'm writing goes in the typical verse-bridge-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus-solo-chorus way. But mix it up, put it in a format that you would want to listen to over and over again. With instrumental stuff I think you can have a wide amount of freedom as long as it sounds interesting an...

It's available in the UK in most HMV and Virgin stores now. Got mine in London and have seen it now in Portsmouth. Only had a brief chance to look at it so far though.

That's me listened to SC for about four weeks now and I'm not that impressed. First five songs are superb and the last couple are good, with crowd chant especially. But, other than than, the middle section is weak and just doesn' interest me. Still, each to his own. Some like it some don't. I'll st...

I think SotT is a fantastic CD, the guitar playing and the songs are top notch. I thought the criticisms were that the album didn't sell as many as their previous (maybe 1987 feel free to correct me) offering. Problem was that the music scene was changing soo much then, the Seattle scene was not too...
