I agree with Lastmohican. It was the same issue that had Yngwie doing a blues solo. I seem to remember Guitarist saying that they sent the track to Steve's studio for him to do the solo but that they had to guess a little bit of the transcription as 1/ it was so fast, and 2/ he didn't do it in the G...

Yeah I seem to recall that this was done in Guitarist (UK based mag) I think back in 2000 or 2001. I may still have the CD somewhere. I think it also had a blues track from Yngwie as well. I do seem to remember that the magazine transcribed Steve's track........

Had a wierd one the other night where Steve had just finished a show and was standing in front of the crowd handing out picks. I askd for one and then all of a sudden he transformed into a really large black security guy. He put a pick in his mouth and rolled it around a bit and then handed it to me...

I'd go with "Die to Live" It has all his rhythmic, emotional, technical, and melodic quirks. That's a great choice Fyrie. I love that song. I heard Brandos Costumes for the first time in ages the other day when i was travelling to work. It's funny when after a long time of not hearing a track you g...

I believe he used a program to input the tones, he didn't actually have to play it....Mike Keneally or T-Mac are guitarists who are also incredible keyboard and piano players.. Yeah, at first I thought it was Mike who played the keys, like he did on the Alive In An Ultra World -album. Sorry Steve b...
