Last night I tried it through the effects loop and I still got the noise just as bad as ever. I am gonna take it to the local store today and see if he can fix. It is definately something with the power amp and not the pre.

Just to be safe I think I am gonna let the local tech take care of this one, plus I think it is due for a re biasing anyway. If it needs new tubes I am just gonna get one of those tube replacement kits on euro tube I hear they are pretty good.

No I made sure never to do that I do not know to much, but I knew enough not to do that. What happens if you do that? I was told not to do it, but no one ever told me why.

Thanks Bill I only changed the power amp tubes because that all I had. Do you do the same thing to change preamp tubes that you do to change power tubes?

I have checked those things already I usually play with my tv on right next to the amp I will try turning that off. I am positive It is not my cables because I just bought them like 2 days ago and they are monster cables. Also they work in my other amps perfectly. I know that my JEM's input is not b...

Tube Amp popping noise

Hey guys I am new to the whole tube amp scene i have a carvin legacy and it is giving me some trouble. When I try and play it keeps making this awful popping and farting noise and I have no idea what the problem is. So tone circle is the cs-3 subtle on what it adds to the sound? Say for instance if I set the controls to neutral and just used the volume to attenuate, would it be a subtle change to my sound or is there going to be a big difference? I would like to go this road because i can not afford an attentua...

I am not a fan of the metal core. I have a metal zone, but it doesn't have the tube character that the solid metal has. Nobody can help me out with this?
