------8------------ ------6------------ ------9----------- ------7------------ ------------------ ------------------ the shape is the important bit to me, the root doesn't matter too much, it's a minoradd13 according to guitarpro, satriani uses it in The Crush of love and in tears in the rain, it's ...

any tips on learning polyrythms?

does anyone know of a program to practice poly rythm's, like 10:4, discontinued polyrythm's and all that stuff, the only places i can find them are in the actuall songs, but that's going in at the deep end really.

what i love about gilbert is that he has a sense of humour. he does covers of disco and pop songs and shreds em up a little. for example "i feel love"

my favourite tone of all vai songs is in the blood and tears, the distorted part, it's just a very pure form of distortion if that makes any sense.

any list of top 100 ANYTHING, that includes Jack White on the list is just crap. top 100 lists are always going to be based on who is writing them up, a top 100 in NME or rolling stone will differ from that of guitar world or guitar techniques. So i'd take the results with a pinch of salt. having s...

If he would, I think he would do this in more musical way than technical. ;) There's a bunch of technique schools and if he would do something different, we will have a look on his technique, so every video would be great to see. :) There's a big element of technical prowess in Steve's playing, but...

will steve ever release a techniques DVD

Paul Gilbert did it, as did John Petrucci and Frank Gambale and i wanted to know if Steve plans to make one. I watched the freakshow excess video's and it really gave me an insight into some of the little songwriting techniques Vai uses to make the music, well musical. I could buy the techniques dvd...
