Re: Vai.com News | Orianthi featuring Steve Vai:

The song sounds a lot like something that Steve might write (if he´d write something not too complicated). Does anyone know, did Steve have other input on the song except the guitar playing?

Re: Lucky Charms

Too bad that this one didn´t make it to the DVD. It´s one of my Vai favourites. Also "Melissa´s Garden" would have been awesome to hear with this band.

Re: "Where The OTHER Wild Things Are" - Album Download Reviews

This is a very cool way of giving the fans something more. Thanks, Steve & Mikey & everyone else involved!

I´m still in the process of consuming the music so it´s too early for me to say anything about it. However, the mix of the album sounds very pleasing.

The guitars you mentioned are different from each other but both of ´em will propably suit your needs. You don´t need to get a permission for your purchases here. Get what you want.

Re: tube amp?

a good 70s hard rock/heavy meatal sound on it Take a look what they used back then: it´s pretty much Marshall all the way. Nothing beats a fully cranked Plexi Marshall. But if you´re looking for a more versatile and modern amp, you might go into Mesa Boogie direction. Of course there are many good ...

Hey, Mikey! I bet you have already checked out Jonas Helborg`s "Art Metal". But if not, you might like it. India meets metal.

Re: What are you practicing at the moment ???

I can't see myself ever becoming any good when other people seem light years ahead. Its all very disheartening... I feel for you, man! BUT you don´t have to compare yourself to others. You have your own strenghts that will sound interesting (or even impressive) to others. I don´t consider mys...

Re: Tosin Abasi - "Animals As Leaders"

Very intense music in harmonic and rhythmic sense. If you like Cynic there´s a chance that you´ll get a kick out of this too. Personally, I can appreciate the effort it takes to create music like this but it does nothing for me emotionally. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, Mikey!
