That sounds like a cool idea. Mikey would have to re-work the design so it can accomodate a flash player.

Very true. You might have to crank the crap out of the 800 to get the tone you want. The 900 is coming back to Marshall's 06 product line. I hear they have a good gain factor.

The Charvel series didn't impress me too much. They're good, but they aren't worth that price, not by a long shot.

Check out the American "1984" Kramer Series. Those blew me away. And they're perfect for any sort of replica job you plan on pursuing.

I'd go with the 7VWH. Those things just look like little pieces of heaven that have just fallen from the sky. I think the BH looks cheesy.

The grime that developes in the gaps between the frets and the fingerboard should be cleaned the second you notice them. If the dirt stays there for a while it could actually cause your fingerboard to rot slightly. A cotton cloth alone can do the job. Just press down real hard and wipe the crap out ...

I'll never forget my first. I was in Atlanta. To this day it was the best JEM I've ever played. I was on a trip with no cash so I didn't buy it. It played even better than the JEM I own now. Oh well, the one that got away. I still have a bitchin 05 JEM7VWH. Congrats on making the decision to save up...

Dunlop just recently came out with a Tortex version of the JazzIII picks. They are by far the best picks I've tried. I've got no problem picking fast or slow up or down whatever. They're really worth a try, and they're inexpensive as well. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Accessories?sk...
