I've seen Steve 3 different times: 2nd G3 tour twice as headliner of solo tour Met him all three times as well. Ah, man, to admit this or not? Uhm, Steve and Ani DiFranco are almost always at the same venue about a week or even days apart to where I live every tour. Well, I usually have to drive 6 h...

Well, I saw this guy on the Mythbusters show and it was a very cool episode. The guy has some serious pipes. I'm not a singer but have you ever tried to sing a note and monitor it with a tuner? Man, that is hard and to be able to maintain a constant pitch, with a +100 decibel intensity....forget it....

My dear god. I love to play very fast! It's great having that color at my disposal. But to live your life in the 'Quest for Fire' or 'Last Crusade' to find-the 'fastest guitarist in the world'. Please... I'm sorry, I have to be honest here. I'm not writing out of any kind of anger, I'm writing out o...

OMG!!! Really??? <sarcasm turned up> So what, y'know. I'm happy for him, but really so what. Y'know, Steve Vai is fast, how fast? Fast enough. He's a Lamborgini, he looks sharp, he's stock, and he's capable of intense speeds. All the other guys are like these ugly one function rocket cars they have ...

Eddie. Man, I wish I knew what was up with that guy. It's like the saying goes, "I'm out of my mind, leave a message." I look at old video and stuff I have recorded over the years and man he's so different now. Eddie has been so contradictory over the years anyway, but now, he's almost incoherent. I...

Just thought I'd set up a review thread for the new offerings from the G3 camp.
For all of you that got the cd or dvd, let's hear what you think. Just got mine yesterday, will watch it tonight.

You know, with all do respect, He's okay, not great, but okay. <to once again be read in a 'good buddy' way> My honest opinion is that he practiced his sweep-picking to death. It sounds as if all that time spent learning and playing the same sweep patterns has undercut his ability to learn other tec...

Well, with all do respect, I honestly had to laugh at the first guy. It was so spastic...If he would only slow it up a bit and add some dynamics, he'd have a nice little piece. Is this piece up there with 'Eruption' or 'Spanish Fly' as far as a showpiece that will be remembered forever? Uh? "Not blo...
