Hmm a dying art form? maybe you should get a teacher who doesnt force his views onto you thus affecting your playing? :D No Kidding! You should also tell your teacher to not teach say: Pull-offs, Hammer-ons, bending, vibrato, ect-because those are all really old artforms too. But it's nice to see y...

THREE MONTHS ON ONE SET A STRINGS?????? HOLY SMOKES!!!! I'm the same way! I don't change a set until they break or I do any kind of work on my guitar. I try and leave them on as long as possible. I actually like the sound of well worn strings. There are alot of guitarists that do-EVH to name one. T...

I own a fantastic Strat copy made by Cortez. I got it as a gift a long time ago. It's even better than the Tiny one Fender makes. You either have to tune it up a bit higher or you can put low guage strings to compensate. It also has the three single coils and the three controls <1 volume, 2 tone>, t...

The Teisco Del Reys had them way back when. TG-64 (ET-320), 1965-has a 'monkey grip'.

Ricardo-Ana is amazing-I had fun listening to her sound clips here at work. I don't really know of any 'female shredders'. I honestly don't believe woman are interested in being shredders. I know of a ton of female guitarist, but not many shedders. Women seem to play from their hearts and souls more...

It really won't change much like RAI said, but you may want to intonate the whole guitar again, especially the dropped E. If it's not a floating system, you may try the D-tuna to be able to tune standard and then drop the E to D whenever you want. It's a great device and it works like a charm. peace...

:D cioran For anyone to think that I'm 'angry' is so silly. If I'm perceived as angry then refer to your own state of mind and how you've read and colored my posts. As far as, personal attacks-What attacks are these? Defending oneself and ones opinion is suddenly wrong? If it hurts, then walk it off...

You can't steer it, you can't take it on the road, you set this thing of and it just goes until it runs out of gas. peace and light So <comma> w hat your...

Jeeez who cares about notes-per-second, music isn't a race, go see who could win a 100m sprint or something. the thing that bothers me most in these types of conversations is that, there will be always someone who would say "speed is not everything" OK WE KNOW THAT! STOP SAYING THAT. LET US TALK AB...
