<sighing heavily> I don't doubt that more time and perhaps better materials go into higher end guitars, although, That doesn't mean they are unilaterally going to play better. I have played Jems and all kindsa guitars. The action on a lot of those high enders didn't even come close to my old RG 250...

Disagree on the olive oil. To each their own but olive oil is a fat which will become rancid over time just like any other vegetable oil and doesn't fully absorb (touch it and look at your finger... that shiny look is the oil coming off). Just as well to use canola oil or peanut oil, etc. Lemon oil ...

Yeah, I've been in contact with Chris over the past couple weeks and we've got the details worked out now for some stuff he's going to do for me. I was seriously considering the P&W graphic as well but decided to stick with my original plan so I won't be getting it. I'll throw up some pics when it's...

And stop bitching guys. Stop being jaleous. I've never heard the song, but let him be happy damnit. Human nature is so weird Yeah, I always love watching the "Oh yeah, that's nothing!" people come out of the woodwork whenever somebody is happy about something they did. Whiney-arsed losers, have som...

Small tube amp suggestions?

I've looked at a few 1x10 or 1x12 tube amps that are in the 15w range (preferably with a switch to cut to even less like the Carvin V16 which can be set to 15w or 5w) but all of them seem to be "vintage" series amps and sound like it. They don't really seem to get the kind of gain for a good Vai sty...

If I could get ahold of a lefty 555 it would cost me a fortune to get it the way I'd want it so I'm kinda glad they're hard to find.

and yes there are some really good and cool looking RG's i never said RG's were bad.. Nope, you didn't. I was just adding my opinion, not saying yours was wrong. theres some RG's that are pretty crap though.. (before the "prestige" came in) Yep, there are. And I'm not at all familiar with th...

Jem7V vs. Prestige RG (I'll go with the under $1000 Prestige RGs for this) "It has a better neck/fretboard." Personal preference more than better or worse I'd say. Jem7V - 1 pc. Jem/ 430mm radius rosewood board, top 4 frets scalloped Prestige RG - 3 pc. Wizard (2 mm thinner than Jem neck)/430mm radi...

I'm into whitewater kayaking so I'd probably be going on about that after the initial flurry of guitar talk. I tend to do that even with people I don't know. Nothing spiritual like being on a remote creek/river with just a couple close friends and no signs of "civilized life" while the water reminds...

He was obviously using the backup mirror Jem... there must have been a problem with "Fuman". :P
