Re: 26 November 2013 - Mexico City, Mexico - Story of Light
Amazing and top live performance as always! Great setlist, great sound. I think this band is the best lineup ever. Everything sounded very tight from start to end. I was on 4th row at the center so the live experience was awesome. A funny thing was that while Steve was requesting for some folks to c...

Re: Some shots from Spain
Hey Steve! Yesterday I saw a promo on Facebook announcing a show for Mexico City on Nov 26, but I don't see the date on the Tourdates list of your webste, is that date already confirmed? Thanks in advance for your response. I'm glad to be back here! It's been awhile since my last post, for some reas...

Re: What picks do you use?
Dunlop ULTEX Jazz III since 2009. Once I tried them I couldn't play with anything else, those are easily the best picks I've ever used. I wish Dunlop could manufacture the XL version of those. If for some reason I don't have the ULTEX ones, I can survive with the traditional black stiffos, but all ...

I've been working with that unit since 2003 and I know it at a 99%, feel free to ask me about it.

Re: TC Elec. G Major anybody got some Vai Esq settings
Hard to tell a totally Vaiesque setting properly, since Vai uses delay, maybe some reverb and chorus out of the G-Force as far as I know, and I mean those effects are pretty general in every guitarist. But I remember seeing somewhere in this forum detaliled settings of one of Steve's delay presets,...

Re: YOUTUBE !
Yes I was recieving notifications saying something like: your video has been removed due to a third party copyright claim by blah blah blah, you can either delete the video, change the audio from that video or do the audio swap etc etc etc etc. I actually did delete those videos, but the last time ...

Re: YOUTUBE !
Now the problem also arrived here in Germany :| By the way I'm not sure if it has something to do with all those "right" problems, but the account of one of the greatest guitar players on Youtube, Cesar Huesca, got closed :o Or is it just me who gets the message "This account is suspended" That wou...

Yes but volume and gain is not the same thing. You have first gain, then EQ, and then the volume(amplitude) of those previous parameters into the signal. You can preserve your tonal characteristics and EQ settings including gain settings from one place to another, then if it's a small or a big plac...

Re: How does Steve keep his rig so quiet?
How does Vai keep the noise and hiss from all the gain he uses quiet, when i've looked through his rig setup guides and i haven't seen any noise reduction pedals? Hiss or slight hum should be attenuated NOT killed, most multieffect rack units and all in one pedalboards with noise gates have that me...

Cesar, Your story is interesting. Here in Los Angeles, we see many immigrants coming over the border in search of work, any work. They are apparently poor, desperate for anything. This is the impression we get of the average citizen from south of the border. Yet, there you are in your videos, surro...
